As the Lead Animator and Motion Graphics Artist for the talented folks over at Robotic Raptor, my role was to develop ads for TV/Social along with PSAs for a wide variety of clients. I had the privilege of creating work for Nike, Sony Music, Chase Bank and vital non-profits like UNICEF, Save the Children, and Pathfinder International.

Naturally, a studio named Robotic Raptor must have a robotic raptor. So I got to work, sketching and 3D modeling to bring the mascot to life. Striking a balance between cute and sharpness for the studio's visual identity.
This was a fun one, that started with a unique idea from Justin Wright.
Sax Man is the result of a collabotation between David Hood (No BS Brass) and Robotic Raptor. Beginning with the music, Justin composed a piece of music specifically for David that highlights his particular style of playing and personality. David performed four solos, which were played on on Soprano, Alto, Bari, and Bass saxes. We filmed David on green screen soloing to leave the possibilities for the video open. After listening to the piece many times, I developed scenes filled with Davids.
The result is a psychedelic, ceremonial rite which pays tribute to the great big Gods of Sax in the sky.
For my thesis I tell the story of a twitchy character named Kurrent who is out looking for quick eats even though he is stealing them from the thoughtful character Warren.
These images show my concept art and final renders from my senior thesis which I completed while at the School of Visual Arts getting my BFA in Computer Animation.
